Concrete Resurfacing

Replacing your old concrete can be a big and expensive job which will often involve the use of heavy equipment such as a skid steer or excavator. The amount of labour, bins, and disposal fees can add up quickly.

With the development of new technologies in Concrete Resurfacing, Ideal Work® has been able to develop products that have strong adhesion and the ability to withstand freeze thaw cycles.

Ideal Work^® has a number of different options for Concrete Resurfacing for both interior and exterior applications. These include Microcement Microtopping^® (see our Microtopping^® page) and Rasico^®.

These finishes can be applied by Valley Stonescapes Inc. to help make Pool Decks, Wood Decks and other Concrete Surfaces both attractive and slip resistant. Our solutions for patios and decks over living spaces, or balconies with wood sub-floors, include the addition of a waterproof membrane to minimize the possibility of anything leaking into the house or building.

Rasico^®:

Ideal Work Rasico^® is a product that provides superior adhesion to both Plywood and Concrete surfaces and decks.

It can be applied over new or existing surfaces in a variety of colours, all of which result in a unique, slip-resistant finish in colours that add elegance to any outdoor space. Not only that, Rasico^® can be used to transition to the interior of the house where Rasico^® Touch (a slightly smoother surface, produced by adding another layer of material) can compliment any in-house décor. Stencilling in patterns such as diamond patterns and borders are also possible.

Hand-trowelled finishes mean that each installation has its own unique look, whether it be in someone’s home or in a commercial application. The shading, colouring, and textures produced by hand trowelling offers a beautiful surface that is both attractive and distinctive.

2. We can also provide solutions for when concrete has poor drainage and needs to be re- sloped. This can either be from a bad pour or sinking slab. After that, the concrete can be resurfaced to provide a decorative finish.
